Gordon Rowe was hand chosen as one of three BIPOC finalists from 500 applicants to the Welcome Toronto program. He was selected to be spotlighted in the second annual Welcome Toronto Creators Program of 2022 because of his standout performance and skill. For this project, Rowe created a three piece collection called Mixtape Memories that illustrates the story of a generation of kids whose entire life was encapsulated by basketball in a coming of age visual narrative.

Rowe’s artwork demonstrated exceptional skill and talent while sharing a story that is diverse and inclusive and reflects his identity and that of his hometown. With his passion for basketball and illustration, Rowe continues to infuse these talents and inspirations to create unforgettable experiences for his audiences. Rowe continues to be represented by both Raptors and OVO committees as he furthers his creative career.
